I just finished watching the movie and i’d have to say that it was absolutely brilliant and heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time. I love the series and still continue to re-watch it over and over on dvd. It is so rare for a series that has been cancelled to be revived as a movie after 3 years of being off the air!

I have a feeling that this movie is the measuring stick where they can decide to possibly bring back the show (crossing all fingers, still), depending on the public response. Rube is definitely missed and so is the “real” Daisy. The new Daisy is the only downside in the movie because she does not have the same graceful sadness as the series Daisy. The new one, in my opinion, is a complete bumbling oaf for the part. Callum Blue portraying Mason still puts a beat to my heart for the show every time. Ellen Muth is still solid gold for the story as George. And the big surprise for me was how Reggie (Britt McKillip) stole the show by growing up perfectly with her role. The reapers life (or un-life) with the living continues to be a catching story to watch, even now that there has been a few changes with the story through the movie. I really recommend also watching the “Resurrecting Dead Like Me” special feature in the dvd. It has many hints towards the cult love for the show and how everyone involved would love to bring it back. Hence, rent the movie dvd (plus the series) repeatedly or buy it at the store and show your support for DLM!
